Born in Pordenone in 1973, Monica Graffeo attended experimental classical "Liceo" and then "Scuola Italiana Design" in Padua. She first worked with F. Boscariol, and then with G. Centazzo of Valcucine. In 1998, she became freelance and started working with Kristalia. From 1996 to 2004, she worked at "Scuola Italiana Design" in Padua, as an assistant and then as a lecturer. In 2003, she won first prize at Young&Design 2003 for her Boum chairs, produced by Kristalia in 2003. In 2004, she won second prize at Y&D 2004, with her Mints chair, produced by Arflex Int. in 2004.
